Mike King
Mike King has extensive experience in the design, specification and testing of tunnel linings in reinforced and unreinforced concrete, steel fibre reinforced concrete and in spheroidal graphite cast iron and steel for soft-ground and rock applications.
He has authored several papers and is renowned for his work on a number of UK and international projects. Mike has been involved in several expert witness cases, acting on the behalf of both contractors and consultants.
His experience includes precast segmental and sprayed concrete lining design and specification, provision of design and construction advice on all aspects of tunnels and linings to improve efficiency, and design of other underground structures, shafts, stations etc, using various techniques.

Mike is currently working on London’s Crossrail project where he will be head of underground structures for the construction phase.
He has provided advice to a number of clients on the protection of their buildings and tunnels as a result of ground movements caused by tunnelling.
