Dubai is the largest city in the United Arab Emirates. It is a central hub for people, financial and administrative processing in the Middle East and it is the location of Halcrow’s head office in the region.

Over the last half a century Halcrow has contributed to the rapid development of the emirate and to the iconic projects that have helped put Dubai on the world stage. See films of some of these historic projects in our Film archive.

Some of these projects include master planning for Business Bay and Dubailand, infrastructure works for the Palm Jumeriah, Palm Jebel Ali, Dubai marina and the ongoing development of Jebel Ali Port – the largest man made harbour and biggest port in the Middle East.

Halcrow also contributed to major Dubai Creek extension work and crossings, including construction of the Al Maktoum Bridge in the 1960’s to the award-wining Al Garhoud Bridge, opened in record time in 2008.
