This £50m hotel and apartment building was the final part of the Liverpool One development by Grosvenor.
At 13 storeys, the building provides 230 hotel rooms as well as private apartments located on the top three floors.
The lower floors were constructed from in situ reinforced concrete including transfer slabs at 2/F level. The upper floors were built using full and semi pre-cast techniques, comprising omnia decks, twin-walls and pre-cast façades, to bring programme and health & safety benefits to the construction.
Halcrow Yolles was appointed to provide civil and structural engineering and building services design to the project. The building services component was particularly challenging due to restrictions on the floor-to-floor height and available plant space.
