Restoration of the historic Oriental Theatre in Chicago has transformed it into a 2,180-seat, fully-equipped live theatre with seating on three tiers: Orchestra, Mezzanine, and Balcony levels. The original interior decor was mostly intact, and the restoration consisted of a refurbishment of interior spaces, including mechanical, electrical and life safety services, and the addition of an extended stage house and modern rigging.

Extension of the stage was accomplished by expanding the back of the stage into the historical Oliver Building. The façade of this building was retained but the interior space was used to create the larger 180-foot stage depth required for a modern Broadway-type theatre. Additionally, the historic marquee and canopy were recreated and installed to restore the theatre to its original grandeur.
