Halcrow Group Limited (Halcrow) was commissioned by King’s College London (KCL) to undertake a commercial and market review of a project proposed to develop a Novel Early Flood Warning and Risk Assessment System (NEWS) funded by an Innovation China UK Partnership grant.
The Halcrow team carried out an initial review and developed a project summary flyer (English and Chinese). Survey questionnaires were compiled and distributed to representatives of experts and potential end-users both in China and UK. An analysis was undertaken focussing on a review of the science and technology, proposed proof of concept development plan, commercialisation, UK/China partnership and intellectual property issues as proposed in the Proof of Concept development plan.
