In recognition of Halcrow’s close partnership with Scottish Business in the Community and sustainability commitments, the company was invited to the launch event of an initiative which aims to promote sustainable living.

Sponsored by HRH Prince Charles, Start 2011 was established to help people across the UK reduce their environmental impact and show what a more energy efficient, cleaner and healthier future could look like.

Halcrow’s UK regional managing director Neil Johnstone attended the event on 17 November 2010 at the Prince’s official residence, Clarence House. Representatives from B&Q, EDF Energy, Marks and Spencer and BT also took part.

Neil commented: “Halcrow is a leader on sustainability issues, as our attendance at this key event reflects. We look forward to supporting Start 2011 as the initiative moves towards its objectives this year.”
