Halcrow’s Toronto-based building structures business, Halcrow Yolles is proud to welcome senior principal, David Bannister and senior associate, Ken Sissakis to its leadership team.
Commenting on both appointments, Michael Della Rocca, group board director and president of Halcrow’s North American business said: “The investment in these highly regarded individuals reaffirms our long-term commitment to the building marketplace, not only in Toronto, but across the whole of North America and around the world. Our Toronto office is home to many of the firm’s most talented structural engineers. David Bannister has more than 30 years’ experience in the management of engineering teams and groups, and in the design and design management of a wide variety of structures including hospitals, justice/police facilities, school/university buildings, performing arts centres, recreational facilities, arenas and sports complexes, computer centres, transit facilities and automotive and industrial facilities.
He has been involved in many projects requiring innovative solutions to complex structural engineering challenges resulting from unusual or specialised building form or performance requirements. Before joining Halcrow Yolles, David was a partner and vice president, structural engineering at MMM Group Ltd.

Ken Sissakis is a structural engineering professional with a degree in architecture from the University of Toronto. His most recent post was at structural engineering consultants Halsall Associates Ltd. He has a proven track record in the analysis, project planning, design and delivery of engineering solutions for multi-million dollar projects. His experience includes the Majdoul Tower in Saudi Arabia, Quantum-Nano Centre at the University of Waterloo and Renaissance ROM in Toronto.
