A number of Halcrow climate change and transport experts travelled to Washington recently to attend the Transportation Research Board (TRB) 88th Annual Meeting, ‘Transportation, Energy and Climate Change’.
Held at the Marriott Wardman Park, Omni Shoreham, and Hilton Washington, the event attracted more than 10,000 transportation professionals from around the world.
Covering all transportation modes, and with more than 3,000 presentations in nearly 600 sessions, the TRB event attracted policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers; and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions.
Specialists from Halcrow’s Canadian, USA and UK offices, many working with their research partners, delivered papers on topics as diverse as carbon efficient transport, smart card data analysis, public-private partnerships and transit-oriented development.
