Halcrow has won the Consultancy of the Year Award in the Construction Industry Awards 2009, the Hard Hats.
Organised by the UK’s Contract Journal and sponsored by Grant Thornton, New Holland Construction and HSS Hire, the awards are designed to reward excellence across the whole supply chain, recognise innovation and celebrate best practice.
As Consultancy of the Year, Halcrow demonstrated evidence of encouraging collaborative working, strong team integration and commitment to health and safety across all areas of its business. The company also demonstrated evidence of successful business performance and examples of management skill throughout 2008
Halcrow’s chief executive, Peter Gammie said:
“We are delighted to have won such a prestigious award. It recognises our success in working alongside our project partners to support the delivery of major projects, such as London Tideway Tunnels, Qatar Bahrain Causeway and Crossrail. It also recognises our consultancy role in four of the managing agent contractor contracts with the Highways Agency.
“I was also pleased that our commitment to training, development and quality was acknowledged, as was our recently restated commitment to health and safety. The award is a great accolade for the whole business.”
Details of all the winners of each of the categories have been published to Contract Journal’s website.
Contract Journal will also be publishing a winners’ supplement in the 21 October issue of the magazine. Full coverage of the entries, the judging day and the winners will be included.
