Halcrow’s group director of technology and innovation, Professor Tim Broyd, is set to speak at the next Major Project Association (MPA) event. To be held on Thursday 5 February, the “Future of major projects - a ten year Horizon” seminar will focus on what the future hold for major projects and how organisations should prepare for uncertainties.

Those attending will hear from experts in global demographics, economies, changing expectations, and key drivers such as climate change and competitive demands on resources.

Tim Broyd will be presenting a session on “Pulling the levers of technology”, a theme based on his understanding of industry trends and drivers. Throughout his presentation Tim will focus on the future of major project delivery and how major projects might be conducted in the future.

Chaired by Douglas Oakervee OBE, executive chairman of Crossrail, the MPA event is aimed at directors and senior executives who can influence the directors of their organisations and those who will be the leaders ten years from now.

By exploring the future, delegates will be studying answers to potential scenarios. Who are the future clients and what will they expect? How will this shape the commercial and technical solutions of the future? How will trade be affected by further expansion in IT and ecommerce? What should future companies look like? What capability and best practice should they develop to be successful? And how should they plan and manage their future strategy?
